HATFIELD, PA, June 14, 2013 (Press-News.org) Marion Crooks has been promoted to Assistant Manager of Chemistry and Metallography at Laboratory Testing Inc. (LTI). This position was recently created to assist the department manager in overseeing the growing chemistry and metallography laboratories. Laboratory Testing Inc. is an accredited full-service materials testing, nondestructive testing and calibration laboratory providing customers with certified reports. All materials testing labs, including chemistry, metallography and mechanical testing, are undergoing remodeling and expansion to more efficiently accommodate the growing number of employees and new equipment.
Prior to her promotion, Marion was employed as Chemistry Supervisor, in which she oversaw staffing, order processing and day-to-day operations in the laboratory. Marion joined Laboratory Testing Inc. in 2001 as a Chemistry Technician performing corrosion testing, ICP analysis, AES analysis, wet chemistry and SEM/EDS analysis. She attended Delaware Valley College in Doylestown, PA and received a B.S. in Chemistry.
The chemistry and metallography department performs a wide-range of testing services including instrumental and wet chemistry, corrosion testing, microscopic and macroscopic examination, microhardness testing, SEM/EDS analysis, RoHS testing and failure analysis. Chemistry and metallography services performed at LTI are A2LA and Nadcap accredited.
