Chemistry/Metallography Lab Promotion At Laboratory Testing Inc.

LTI promoted Marion Crooks to Assistant Manager of Chemistry & Metallography. Previously, she held the Chemistry Supervisor position and joined LTI in 2001 as a Chemistry Technician. Marion graduated from Delaware Valley College.

HATFIELD, PA, June 14, 2013 (Press-News.org) Marion Crooks has been promoted to Assistant Manager of Chemistry and Metallography at Laboratory Testing Inc. (LTI). This position was recently created to assist the department manager in overseeing the growing chemistry and metallography laboratories. Laboratory Testing Inc. is an accredited full-service materials testing, nondestructive testing and calibration laboratory providing customers with certified reports. All materials testing labs, including chemistry, metallography and mechanical testing, are undergoing remodeling and expansion to more efficiently accommodate the growing number of employees and new equipment.

Prior to her promotion, Marion was employed as Chemistry Supervisor, in which she oversaw staffing, order processing and day-to-day operations in the laboratory. Marion joined Laboratory Testing Inc. in 2001 as a Chemistry Technician performing corrosion testing, ICP analysis, AES analysis, wet chemistry and SEM/EDS analysis. She attended Delaware Valley College in Doylestown, PA and received a B.S. in Chemistry.

The chemistry and metallography department performs a wide-range of testing services including instrumental and wet chemistry, corrosion testing, microscopic and macroscopic examination, microhardness testing, SEM/EDS analysis, RoHS testing and failure analysis. Chemistry and metallography services performed at LTI are A2LA and Nadcap accredited.

The laboratory offers materials testing and analysis services including mechanical, chemical, metallurgical and corrosion testing, nondestructive testing, root cause failure analysis, calibration services, dimensional inspection, test specimen machining and certified reporting of results. The laboratory specializes in metal and polymer testing, but also analyzes powdered metals, ores, ferroalloys, composites and ceramics. LTI is accredited by PRI/Nadcap in materials and nondestructive testing and accredited by A2LA to ANS/ISO/IEC 17025 for mechanical, metallurgical and chemical testing, dimensional inspection and calibration services. LTI Metrology, a division of Laboratory Testing Inc., provides dimensional inspection and NIST-traceable calibration services for measuring hand tools, masters and a wide-range of measuring instruments and equipment.
