Terramor Homes Hosts 2013 Chippin' For Children Charity Golf Tournament, Raises More Than $9,000

Event With 28 Teams Benefits 2014 Duke Miracle Home Charity Project

RALEIGH, NC, June 26, 2013 (Press-News.org) Terramor Homes (http://www.terramorhomes.com/), a local premier home building company in the Triangle, announced that they raised over $9,000 as it hosted the inaugural 2013 Chippin' for Children Charity Golf Tournament on June 13 at the Heritage Golf Course in Wake Forest, N.C. The funds raised during the event will go toward the company's $120,000 pledge for the 2014 MIX 101.5 WRAL Radiothon to benefit Duke Children's Hospital and Health Center.

Terramor Homes will serve as the builder for the 2014 MIX 101.5 WRAL Radiothon Miracle Home, benefitting Duke Children's Hospital and Health Center, and is raising funds by creating partnerships with trade partners and vendors and hosting events in the community such as the Chippin' for Children Golf Tournament. Additionally, Terramor will donate all the proceeds from the sale of the Miracle Home, located within Cary's Cameron Pond community at 744 Magalloway Drive, to Duke Children's Hospital and Health Center.

A total of 28 teams, consisting of trade partners, realtors, Duke Children's Hospital and Health Center representatives, and local builders such as Homes by Dickerson, Standard Pacific Homes, Garman Homes, JordanBuilt Homes and Lennar, competed in the golf tournament in four-person groups, following opening words by WRAL's morning radio personalities Vanna Fox and Lynda Loveland. Event Sponsors included CertainTeed, Ammons Development Group, Coldwell Banker - HPW Builder Services, Custom Home Exteriors, Creative Touch Interiors, Savvy Homes, Towne Mortgage of the Carolinas, The Neuse Termite & Pest Control and Beazer Homes.

The event featured cash prizes and raffle items, such as Summerfest and Durham Bulls tickets donated by 101.5 WRAL radio station, autographed Duke University basketball items donated by Duke Children's Hospital, gift certificates for free cupcakes were donated by Gigis Cupcakes of Brier Creek and many more items. Each player received an embroidered polo shirt, team plaque, gift bag, lunch and dinner.

The MIX 101.5 WRAL-FM Radiothon is Duke Children's Hospital & Health Center's largest single fundraiser each year, benefitting children's programs and supporting the continuation of excellence within the medical and surgical programs housed at Duke Children's Hospital & Health Center. For the past 19 years, MIX 101.5 has raised more than $15.5 million dollars for the program.
