STOCKTON, CA, June 26, 2013 (Press-News.org) For the past year, Medi-Cal has been urging recipients to select and sign up with an approved managed care program to handle their Medi-Cal services, such as Health Plan of San Joaquin, instead of dealing directly with Medi-Cal. This transition is not mandatory yet, however by the end of 2013 or beginning of 2014 all Medi-Cal beneficiaries will most likely be required to make a managed care selection. If you don't make a selection within this time, Medi-Cal may make the selection for you. Active Life Medical is available to help with any questions you may have, assist with the necessary paperwork, and provide information on what managed care programs are available to you in your area.
