WEST PALM BEACH, FL, June 27, 2013 (Press-News.org) Across the globe, art plays a significant and irreplaceable part in our lives. It marks important points in our development from a historical perspective, and allows us to observe and admire the evolution of expression through media. However, each year thousands of artists across the United States fail to retain the necessary support to continue their art careers, or are unable to find a program or grant that could continue their education in the visual art fields. To combat this, many non-profits are using raised funds and subsidies to create an environment that is conducive to artist development while also promoting exhibition.
The team at "Empowering Minds" with host Martin Sheen is teaming with the leaders of this movement to educate Public Television viewers on the opportunities artists now have, and ways to help out in their own communities. By creating segments that highlight the importance of art in these areas, support can continue to grow from a grass-roots level so that art will continue to be prevalent and will flourish across the world.
"Empowering Minds" provides non-commercial television programming to Public Television stations, and features educational content from around the world. These segments will be distributed directly to the Public Television member stations.
"Empowering Minds" is not affiliated with PBS. For more information on the series and art education around the country, or to inquire about participation in the series, visit www.empoweringmindstv.com or email info@empoweringmindstv.com.
