Backgrounds Online Announces Launch of Retooled Website

Backgrounds Online, an industry leader in background screening and pre-employment verifications, announced the launch of their new client website at www.backgroundsonline.com.

2010-11-04
SACRAMENTO, CA, November 04, 2010 (Press-News.org) Backgrounds Online, an industry leader in background screening and pre-employment verifications, announced the launch of their new client website at http://www.backgroundsonline.com. The reconstructed site now offers enhanced ordering options, noticeable ease of use and a sleek new look that reflects the company's standing as an industry leader.
The new site, which can be found at http://www.backgroundsonline.com, offers several benefits to the client who needs to order a background report quickly and efficiently. For starters, site navigation is laid out in a visually intuitive manner, which allows clients to move quickly from one portion of the site to the next without having to hunt for the link they need. Ordering reports is now a much more fluid process with a new ordering interface that gives the client a variety of options from ordering single reports to customizing background screenings that meet their organization's hiring needs. Clearly marked ordering fields in a new user-friendly format allow for a much faster processing time and clients are able to run more reports at once. The trademark "Background Wizards" are still in effect and will continue to allow clients to run multiple reports once under the umbrella of one unifying report.
Additionally, clients will also have an easier time checking the status of reports in process as well as viewing completed background screenings in the "My Reports" section. The reports are easily accessible for review and can be sorted by date, report type and even status. Once a client has found what they are looking for, they will also find that the new report format has been changed to a much more printer-friendly orientation.
Even before clients log in to their account, they are able to take advantage of screening resources to better educate themselves about the process of screening applicants. A comprehensive FAQ section answers many questions for first time screeners such as: how to get started, what kind of paperwork is required and how quickly it takes to get results. Additional information is provided via the "Knowledge Bank" that provides tips for selecting reports, best practices, and creating a company policy for background checks. It's a wealth of information available at no cost to ensure clients are submitting educated and informed screening requests.
Nathan Taggart, VP of Operations and Development, remarked "We've received an overwhelmingly positive reply to the look and usability of the new site since its launch in August. Many clients have told us how much easier it is to move around the different parts of the site and that the ordering process now looks and feels considerably less complicated. That's important to someone that needs to run multiple background screenings in a day efficiently and safely without feeling lost or helpless in the process. The changes we have made will make the ordering process considerably less difficult for everyone."
Upgrades have also been made to the company's in-house administrative system that is responsible for processing and tracking the hundreds of orders processed daily. Several systems have been consolidated into one, which gives the Backgrounds Specialists all the resources they need in one location. This translates to faster order processing and quicker resolution of customer service issues. Additional secure servers are now also in place to safeguard client information as well as having restructured company security protocols to protect not only clients but their applicants as well.
Jennifer Wiehl, Director of Operations for Backgrounds Online, noted "We've always maintained the same high customer service standards, but the changes that have been made to our operating system lets us do a lot more for customers in a lot less time. We can queue up specific orders, prioritize rush orders, address any errors or issues, make order adjustments, delete unnecessary searches and more. A completely new interface lets us pull up orders quickly based on criteria as broad or specific as a search needs to be. These in-house upgrades matched with the ease of use offered by our new website enable us to be a much more user-friendly source for backgrounds checks than some of our competitors."
