Derby County Football Club player Appearance at JD store in Westfield

JD Sports and Derby County Football Club have joined forces to offer customers and Derby fans an exclusive chance to meet two stars from their team on Wednesday 25th August at 1pm.

BURY, ENGLAND, August 25, 2010 (Press-News.org) It was announced early last month that JD Sports have teamed up with Derby County Football Club to become official stockists of DCFC merchandise in the JD Westfield store, Derby. To celebrate this partnership, Rams players Stephen Bywater and Kris Commons will be making an appearance at the JD store, Westfield, Derby, so make sure you head down to meet the players. Whilst you're there grab a photo and autograph and of don't forget to pick up the new 2010/2011 Derby County FC home shirts in time for the next game against QPR on the 28th August at Pride Park! Having successfully completed his fifth season at the club after joining the squad in August 2006, Bywater is one of the most reliable and consistent goalkeepers in the championship.
Commons joined the rams in 2008 on a three year contract and has continued to impress fans with his ability on the ball.

Head down to JD Westfield store (formally known as 'The Eagle Centre') on Wednesday 25th August at 1 pm to pick up the new season's kit and get it signed by two first team players.

JD Sports Fashion PLC was founded in 1981, with one store in Bury. JD quickly expanded throughout the 80's opening its first London store on Oxford Street in 1989. In 1996 JD Sports was floated on the stock market and had 56 stores.

The business continued to grow organically up until 2002 when over 200 stores were acquired giving the brand a very strong high street presence. JD Sports Fashion PLC now operates over 350 stores throughout the UK and has grown into mainland Europe.
