Get Mailings Noticed!
Pitney Bowes Digital Envelope Printer Brings Colour and Creativity In-house
HARLOW, UK, November 10, 2010
Pitney Bowes has launched the Digital Envelope Printer - a high resolution, full-colour printer that brings professional print quality and 'openability' and appeal to office mailings. The printer is being offered through a strategic collaboration with Xante. The advantage of using full colour within marketing and transactional communications is well documented, significantly boosting read and response rates. Now, the Pitney Bowes Digital Envelope Printer extends this advantage to the envelope itself, creating standout mailings that immediately convey brand values and encourage communications to be opened.
Flexible and cost-efficient
Businesses using the Digital Envelope Printer are no longer restricted to wasteful minimum runs created on expensive offset presses. High resolution colour (at 1200 dpi) and variable data can be printed on window and non-window envelopes as well as postcards, business cards, letterhead and plain paper.
Ease of use, fast set-up
The Pitney Bowes Digital Envelope Printer comes with Pitney Bowes iQueue printer management software as standard. iQueue allows precise control over colour settings, the ability to save and recall frequently run jobs for faster set-up, and access to a library of pre-defined settings to optimize image quality. These features are designed to help businesses get the best results on a wide range of commonly-used materials and image types. Setting up the machine is easy.
Specifically designed to maximise productivity
The Pitney Bowes Digital Envelope Printer is specifically designed to boost productivity when producing colour printed envelopes. The printer's input feeder, and output conveyer, can easily handle up to 1000 C5 or DL envelopes, or 4000 sheets of regular paper. The printer is flexible enough to make printing on other materials easy.
PANTONE licensed
Pantone certification means that the Pitney Bowes Digital Envelope Printer is able to match or simulate Pantone colours. This makes it possible for smaller shops to compete for corporate colour business, and for larger printers and design shops to fulfil shorter run, production-quality jobs faster, on an alternate device.
Benoit Micaud, EAME Product Manager & Software Solution Partnership,
Pitney Bowes International, comments: "The Pitney Bowes Digital Envelope Printer is designed to give businesses a head-start in the battle for consumer attention.
"Mailed communications represent a regular touchpoint with the customer. Every opportunity must be taken to make these communications work harder in order to generate return on investment. Until now, the envelope was simply wasted space - a blank canvas. The Pitney Bowes Digital Envelope Printer will encourage businesses to get creative - which in turn will help to drive response and grow profits."
Arthur Verwey, Vice President of Worldwide OEM Sales, Xante Corp, comments: "Xante is proud to have such a distinguished partner forging a new frontier in high-quality print output for the direct mail or office user.
"Our unparalleled imaging technology, in combination with Pitney Bowes' mail fulfillment expertise, is the powerful force behind the launch of this new digital product."
