VANCOUVER, BC, CANADA, February 20, 2014 (Press-News.org) Johannes N. Combrinck, Design Manager for Material Handling of AMEC, was recently named a VIP member of Worldwide Branding. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.
Mr. Combrinck has 41 years of professional experience, with six years as a design manager of material handling for AMEC. On a daily basis, he is responsible for overseeing 24 designers who are engineering and designing material handling systems for mining facilities. AMEC is an engineering and project management consultancy that provides consulting services and business designing for the mining industry. Mr. Combrinck started off as an aircraft technician and after qualifying, he transferred to the drawing office to become a mechanical draughtsman. He then diversified from aeronautical drafting into mining and process plants. Soon, he became design lead of projects and later became the discipline lead of the material group. While serving as the manager of the Material Handling Group, he grew into the role of project manager of smaller projects.
Looking back, Mr. Combrinck attributes his success to his hard work and passion. He became involved in his profession because it has always been his passion. He considers the highlight of his career to be when he was appointed as manager of the Material Handling Group at AMEC under the management of the Mechanical Group. The material Handling Group was very effective in their work and grew to the extent of 32 designers and seven mechanical engineers specializing in material handling. The group became so successful that AMEC management decided to take the Material Handling Group away from the Mechanical Group and form a separate business unit for Material Handling. A new manager was appointed to handle the everyday management of the group and I became the Design Manager to take care of the technical aspect of the group.

Michigan Hospital Safety Scores: How Does Yours Rank?
2014-02-20
Preventable medical errors kill 440,000 patients in the U.S. each year, making it the third leading cause of death. Yet, this killer flies under the radar.
Politicians have blamed frivolous medical malpractice lawsuits for the nation's problems with health care, but numerous studies discredit this theory - and fairly easily, too. Hospitals spend millions to promote themselves as altruistic businesses doing the public a great service.
The problem of substandard health care is carefully being tucked away, out of sight. Fortunately, a new publication with comprehensive ...
