SOUTH HILL, OAMARU, February 20, 2014 (Press-News.org) Tanya Halcrow, the Director and Co-Founder of the Shared Plate, has been recognized by Worldwide Branding for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in restauranting.
In her current role for a year, Ms. Halcrow's duties are managing company operations and providing food education regarding international cuisine and planning events. With her expertise in international cuisine, Ms. Halcrow launched Shared Plate in 2013 with a colleague; Susan Morton. In five years, they aim for the continued growth of the brand and concept.
She attributes her success to her passion for her work. She became involved in her profession after joining with her business partner, Sue Morton, to combine their passions for food education and event planning.
Ms. Halcrow was recently inducted into the New Zealand Guild of Food Writers as a professional member, as well as into Worldwide Branding. She also holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree.
Shared Plate is a food education and event planning company that provides instruction about cuisines from around the world, new cooking techniques, and organizes successful events showcasing new businesses that complement the hospitality or food industry and have a little fun on the way. Shared Plate makes use of local cafes, venues and delicatessens in which to hold their events. It is a fantastic way of showcasing local produce and venues.
