CINCINNATI, OH, February 21, 2014 (Press-News.org) Advanced Technology Consulting (ATC) experienced record revenues in 2013. Both regional offices--Cincinnati, OH, and Hartford, CT--exceeded previously held revenue highs set in 2012. ATC's 2013 revenues exceeded 2012 by approximately 30 percent. David Goodwin and Darren DeMartino founded ATC in 1999. Goodwin leads the Ohio office and DeMartino the Connecticut office.
In the early days, ATC assisted customers with switched and dedicated long distance services. Since, ATC has expanded its services, helping leaders of organizations with cloud migration, Voice over IP (VoIP) phone systems, unified communications, bandwidth and back-up. Although tangible outcomes are evident, it's the personal touch and human element of support that has set ATC apart over the years.
Client Work
Advanced implementations, new customers, bandwidth upgrades, and cloud migrations have led ATC to record annual revenue. ATC's 2013 highlights include:
- ATC completed implementation of a corporate telecom solution across St. Elizabeth Physicians' network of 77 locations. The VoIP business phone system and bandwidth upgrades were successfully deployed over an aggressive six-month schedule.
- ATC worked with Wabtec Corporation (NYSE: WAB) to deploy a global MPLS network supporting reliable application delivery over 90 worldwide locations.
- With the help of ATC, XPO Logistics (NYSE: XPO) implemented a hosted VoIP phone system constituting 44 sites and 1,500 users.
- Jeff Wyler Automotive also deployed a VoIP phone system across 14 locations and 41 automotive franchises.
New customers that came into the ATC fold in 2013 included Graeter's, Back9Network (The Golf Lifestyle Network), Radisphere Radiology, Taylor Distributing, Dress for Success Cincinnati, Cooperative Systems, Abco Safety, Legion Logistics, CE Power, RiskSOURCE Clark Theders, Curiosity Advertising, Lakeside Christian Church, and more. ATC's new customers and current client portfolio leveraged ATC's expertise for local and long distance services, VoIP, network services, web conferencing and collaboration services, and cloud technologies.
ATC also assisted partners such as Matrix Companies, Queen City Financial, and others with strategic location changes and/or phone system upgrades--projects that warranted telecom and network expertise. ATC's work eased the transition into new spaces, or into a new system, which required high levels of coordination in order to keep each business synchronized and effective.
Goodwin and DeMartino Serve, Enger Rises
Goodwin was nominated in 2013 and unanimously approved to serve on the Board of Directors for Dress for Success Cincinnati, a non-profit that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women. The Dress for Success Cincinnati board consists of 26 business leaders, visionaries and philanthropists.
DeMartino completed another year of service as secretary on the trustee board for the Eastern Connecticut Health Network (ECHN) Community Health Foundation, Inc. DeMartino also serves as president of the South Windsor Panthers Youth Football organization and is heavily involved with the East Catholic High School Touchdown Club.
ATC's senior consultant, Nick Enger, was selected as a 2013 top three nominee for the Northeast Cincinnati Chamber's "Rising Star" category, which recognizes individuals early in their career for unselfish involvement, dedication, and financial support for the betterment of the Chamber service area. In addition to being a valued member of the Technology Channel Association (TCA) board, for 2014, Enger became a member on CompTIA's steering committee for its Unified Communications (UC) community.
Community Outreach
Although ATC experienced record revenues in 2013, what made the year monumental was ATC's continued community support and outreach. ATC contributed time and resources to approximately 16 different community organizations and non-profits. The ATC team volunteered for organizations such as Dress for Success Cincinnati and Matthew 25: Ministries. ATC also volunteered and led fundraising events for youth sports organizations.
For these efforts in 2013, ATC and co-founder Goodwin received a Family and Privately Owned Business Leadership Award on January 22, 2014. The award honors individuals and/or family-owned companies in the private sector. Recipients of this award have seen steady growth, contributed their resources to impact the local community, and have affected the lives of their employees. The editorial team at Venue Media, the publisher of Venue Magazine, Greater Cincinnati's Lifestyle publication and LEAD Magazine, the Publication for Business Executives, selected Goodwin and ATC for the award.
In addition, ATC was recognized as a 2013 "runner up" for the Goering Center Private Business Award. The award recognizes companies or individuals who have made a long-term community impact through their commitment to philanthropy, community service, growth of employment, and community image. An independent panel of judges reviewed 550 nominees for the award, narrowed them down to 92 finalists, and named winners and runners up in six categories.
