BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA, February 26, 2014 (Press-News.org) Scott White, Branch Manager of Engineering and Asset Management for Brisbane City Council - Brisbane Transport Division, has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in executive management.
A 20-year veteran of the military and aerospace industry, Mr. White currently serves as the manager of engineering and asset management branch for the Brisbane City Council. Brisbane City Council is Australia's largest council with over 8000 employees, of which he is one of 40 senior executives. He is responsible for overseeing a bus fleet of over 1200 urban route buses, including all lifecycle/asset management aspects such as technical investigations and cost of ownership issues; collaborating with local and state government officers across a range of public issues; briefing politicians on technical matters; executing projects; enforcing safety management; monitoring issues within the transportation division; and attending various board and executive meetings. Recently inducted into Worldwide Branding, Mr. White attributes his success to being able to work with a range of different personalities, two decades of military and professional experience and being goal-oriented.
Mr. White earned a Bachelor of Engineering with Honors in Aerospace Engineering from RMIT University, a Bachelor of Commerce with a double major in Finance and Sustainable economics and policy from the University of Southern Queensland, as well as a Bachelor of Business in management and leadership from the University of Southern Queensland. He also holds an advanced diploma in project management with the Australian Institute of Management. To keep up-to-date in his field, he maintains affiliations with Engineers Australia (IEAust), the Risk Management Institution of Australasia (RMIA), the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM), the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), and the CEO Institute.
