Erhard Ludwig Thoma is a Concrete Specialist with Nearly 40 Years of Experience

Gartringen, Germany, March 3, 2014 (Press-News.org) Erhard Thoma started his business in 1976 with CCB, who in those days sold GOMACO products outside of the United States. When Hermann Jensen of Gomaco named Erhard Thoma as the direct importer for GOMACO concrete paving products, a very successful cooperation started. Mr. Thoma was the owner of several patents in the business, like DBI, Super-Smoother, and the side-bar inserter. These patents allowed GOMACO to compete on the world-market after the DBI was a worldwide patent and mandatory in most countries.

In 1984, the worldwide first paver for 50 feet (15,25 m) was used on the german Autobahn A-31, Followed by the first SWING-LEG paver ever built for WALO at Zürich Airport. WALO also used the first COMMANER III with four legs to pave six meters wide. Mr. Thoma represented Gomaco in Austria, Germany and Switzerland for 35 years until the end of 2011. Parallel to his efforts for improving concrete-paving in the eighties, Mr. Thoma developed, in collaboration with STRABAG at Cologne, a very special machine, named the Fraesbrecher-Granulator to produce RAP without crushing the material. This machine was patented under DE-3240126-C-2. Mr. Thoma's company is home-based at Gärtringen, Germany, and Mr. Thoma has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in business operations.

With his desire to improve pavings, Mr. Thoma started to develop patents for concrete-paving and asphalt re-use. Mr. Thoma also is a concrete specialist who uses his expertise in slip-forming when overseeing his business. Holding 37 years of experience, he is in charge of operations, sales and marketing.

Mr. Thoma holds a degree in engineering and was recently inducted into Worldwide Branding. He also maintains affiliation with PIARC, which has been sharing knowledge on roads and road transport and encouraging discussion on a global scale for the past 100 years. He attributes his successful career to his hard work, dedication and technical interests, and looking ahead, Mr. Thoma intends to consult and operate on a larger scale.
