SCOTTSDALE, AZ, March 05, 2014 (Press-News.org) Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market is excited to announce their upcoming spring vintage shopping event on May 3, 2014. This event will take place in the newly built, state-of-the-art, air-conditioned building at WestWorld, Scottsdale's nationally recognized special events facility. New to the 2014 market is a special partnership with local artists who will be creating visuals out of repurposed materials to decorate the market entrance. These pieces will be judged and the winner will receive a special prize. Also, the first 300 people through the door will receive a Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market Reusable bag to carry home their treasures!
The women behind Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market, Lindsey Holt and Coley Arnold, are thrilled to bring over 150 local Arizona and California artists and vendors together for this unique day of shopping. With a focus on creating beautiful domestic spaces featuring one-of-a-kind treasures and distinctly vintage pieces, this market is all about matching special items with any interior design. From handmade to period pieces and antique furniture to contemporary treasures, attendees are sure to find something that they absolutely cannot live without. In addition to the shopping, the market will also feature fabulous live music, great food, and plenty of inspiration to create a fun-filled day for all.
If you want to get a jump on the early pickings, Early Entry Admission is available from 8:00am to 10:00am for $10 per adult ticket. General Admission starts at 10:00am and adult tickets are $5 each. All children under 12 years of age are free all day. This year, the market also features extended hours, ending at 5pm. Please bring cash as not all vendors have the capabilities to accept credit card transactions. A portion of all ticket sales will help support the Paradise Valley/North Scottsdale Young Life chapter. Young Life is a non-denominational Christian organization designed to offer a positive alternative to high school students who are searching for a meaningful lifestyle. The program seeks to communicate the Christian faith as an exciting and dynamic way to empower the young people to believe that their lives have great worth, meaning, and purpose.

Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market was born from the idea that the greater Phoenix area needed a bit more junk in their trunks. Two girlfriends, Lindsey Holt and Coley Arnold, who enjoyed the pursuit of finding that perfect vintage piece and sharing home decor ideas, felt there was a lack of a community and opportunity for local Arizona Junkers. A vacation in the summer of 2011 was the starting point for Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market. The friends found themselves junking their way north from Spokane, Washington up through the Rocky Mountains of Alberta, Canada. After returning from their trip, they set out to launch their own vision. The first vintage market took place in the backyard of a north Phoenix residence in September of 2011. With much success, they started to feel like there was an interest in having a truly unique vintage market, one that people could put on the calendar every year and look forward to. Out of this desire, their upcoming events will provide an amazing line up of local vendors, a world-class venue, and a great opportunity for lucky shoppers to find unique items for their homes.
