Chuck Norman Elected as Chair-Elect of 2011 PRSA Southeast District Board

S&A Cherokee's Executive Vice President Chuck Norman, APR, will serve on the 2011 Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Southeast District Board as chair-elect.

CARY, NC, November 14, 2010 (Press-News.org) S&A Cherokee, a full-service communications firm, has announced that Executive Vice President Chuck Norman, APR, will serve on the 2011 Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Southeast District Board as chair-elect.

"It is an honor to represent PRSA at the district level," said Norman. "I'm excited to take on this role and look forward to continuing to advance the profession through this leadership opportunity."

As 2011's chair-elect, Norman will be responsible for exercising the powers and performing the duties of the Chair — in the event of his or her absence — at any regular or special meeting of the Board of Directors. In the event that a district conference is held, Norman will also serve as chair of the conference or as liaison with the conference host chapter.

In addition to Norman's current position as president of the North Carolina Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (NCPRSA), his involvement with industry organizations includes serving two terms as president of the Raleigh Public Relations Society (RPRS) and as president-elect for NCPRSA in 2009, among other positions on both boards over the past decade.

Norman's time and service in the business community over the past several years has resulted in numerous leadership positions including the following: Board of Directors, SearStone; Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce chair-elect; Wake Technical Community College Advisory Board; Band Together NC Advisory Board; Board of Directors, Cary MacGregor Rotary Club; Raleigh Chamber of Commerce Business Services Advisory Board and 2011 Business Expo chair.
