David Seth Cohen and Richard Switzer Announce "The First Murder"

Switzer Entertainment Group and Legitimate Rascal Films will produce the thriller set for a 2015 release

2014-03-13
NEW YORK, NY, March 13, 2014 (Press-News.org) The First Murder, written by Russell Garbutt and based on a concept by David Seth Cohen, is looking to shoot this year and will star Richard Switzer in the role of Lloyd Newman, an everyday teenager that we soon learn has a dark side. Switzer and Cohen will produce the project with Connecticut entrepreneur and filmmaker David Gere.

Garbutt wrote the original screenplay in 1998 and it is currently being revised. James Camali, who directed A Fatal Obsession earlier this year, is in talks to direct the film, which will shoot in Connecticut.

Switzer is the youngest producer in history, recently featured on Entertainment Tonight for his films A Fatal Obsession and Buddy Hutchins, starring Jamie Kennedy, in which he also makes his acting debut.

David Seth Cohen is the director, producer, and star of the documentary "Finding Sandler", currently in post-production.

The First Murder is also rumored to feature veteran actors John Heard and Matthew Lillard.
