New Jersey Plastic Surgery Specialist Now Offering CoolSculpting by ZELTIQ
2010-11-16
ENGLEWOOD, NJ, November 16, 2010 (Press-News.org) CoolSculpting by ZELTIQ is the newest body contouring procedure to be offered by New Jersey plastic surgery specialist Dr. Richard A. D'Amico (www.drdamico.com). This advanced body contouring procedure is non-invasive, making it an ideal option for patients who have small areas of fat that remain resistant to diet and exercise. CoolSculpting works by selectively cooling fat cells, which are then destroyed and removed through the body's natural cleansing process.

Dr. D'Amico states, "I'm excited to offer my patients this non-invasive fat removal method. For those who have stubborn areas of fat that are resistant to dieting and exercise, CoolSculpting may be the solution you've been waiting for. While this treatment is certainly not meant as an alternative to a healthy diet and regular exercise, it is helpful for sculpting specific areas of the body."

CoolSculpting is an effective way to reduce smaller areas of fat without the need to "go under the knife." During treatment, the CoolSculpting device is placed on targeted areas, where it cools the tissue to just above freezing, selectively harming the fat cells while allowing other healthy cells in the area to survive.

"Another reason why CoolSculpting is becoming popular is due to its fast treatment times," explains Dr. D'Amico. "Also, once treatment is over, there is no downtime and my patients are able to return to their everyday activities. This makes it particularly convenient even for the most on-the-go person with little time to spare."

A CoolSculpting treatment can take anywhere from 1 to 3 hours, depending on the targeted area. During the treatment, a patient can read a magazine or just take some time to relax. Most people find the treatment to be comfortable.

In addition to CoolSculpting, Dr. D'Amico offers many other options for women and men looking to enhance their body shape. Popular cosmetic procedures at his practice include liposuction, abdominoplasty, and breast augmentation in New Jersey.

"As a board-certified plastic surgeon with years of experience, I've seen many fads over the years but I've found that CoolSculpting is a true scientific advance," adds Dr. D'Amico. "It offers noticeable body contouring results, without the need for surgery. This is an exciting time for my patients, and it really is possible to achieve your cosmetic goals through non-surgical procedures."

Dr. Richard D'Amico (www.drdamico.com) is a board-certified plastic surgeon and 2008 President of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. D'Amico earned his medical degree from New York University and has years of experience in both cosmetic and reconstructive surgical procedures, in addition to extensive training through residencies in general and plastic surgery. Dr. D'Amico has received extensive recognition for his achievements, including numerous awards as well as several upper-level professional appointments, serving as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine and as co-chair of the ASPS Breast Implant Taskforce, where he gave key testimony on breast implant safety to the FDA.
