Inaugural Episode of Women Investing in WOMEN and GIRLS Radio Show Launches

PHOENIX, AZ, March 31, 2014 (Press-News.org) Maura Pally, Executive Director, Office of Hillary Rodham Clinton at the Clinton Foundation, and Penny Abeywardena who heads up the Girls & Women's effort and Associate Director of Committments at the Clinton Global Initiative were guests on the Inaugural show of the "Women INVESTING in Women & Girls" radio program on Friday, March 28th at 12 PM PST/3PM EST on the VoiceAmerica Radio Network.

In the Inaugural episode, Pally, spoke about Secretary Clinton's work at the Foundation, including "No Ceilings: The Full Participation Project," an initiative committed to advancing the full participation of women and girls around the world; Abeywardena discussed her position at the Clinton Global Initiative and how she will be involved in applying the gender lens to their various Programs and her work on girls and women issues with members of CGI.

In addition, interviews with Bianca Bracht and Melina Smith, two bioengineering undergraduate students at Duke University, who are currently involved with the non profit organization, "Girls Make Change Through Engineering," were also recorded to showcase the great work they are doing to advance women and girls through their CGI University Commitment to Action.

The episode concludes with highlights from Women INVESTING in Women's Founder, Anu Bhardwaj, who spoke to us about Women INVESTING in Women's viral growth on Facebook reaching nearly 160,000 followers in over 100 countries, within 60 days since launch, and Women INVESTING in Women's upcoming 2014 Global Summits in Stockholm, New York City, San Diego, Johannesburg, Dubai, Muscat, Santiago, Melbourne, and Singapore.
