CHICAGO, IL, April 05, 2014 (Press-News.org) For the third consecutive year, Q1 Productions is hosting the Pharmaceutical Managed Markets and Payer Marketing Strategies Conference, providing an inside look at best practices to accommodate changing coverage trends and developing new relationships with the rising number of ACOs. This year's conference will be held July 14-15, 2014 in Chicago, Illinois.
In keeping with current trends in managed markets and payer marketing, a variety of session topics are scheduled, including working with ACOs, medical benefit management, state health plan marketplaces, and evaluation parameters. Attendees will participate in various networking opportunities with senior and VP level executives from some of the largest biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies and take part in interactive workshops focusing on deployment and training strategies within today's healthcare landscape. By popular request, more payers will be presenting sessions, including Michael Katzman of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Matt Salner of Access Health CT, and Glenda Flemister of Aetna.
During this conference, attendees will explore the changing coverage trends under Medicare, including the current regulations surrounding Medicare Advantage and Part D prescriptions program. Under tight federal budget scrutiny, CMS is continually striving to improve payment margins and program competencies; the newly released modifications have the potential to reduce Medicare expenditures by roughly $1.3 billion by 2019. Meenakshi Datta of Sidley Austin LLP, and Karen Gibbs of McDermott, Will & Emery will lead a discussion highlighting coverage changes, impact of stringent negotiated pricing restrictions, and incorporating CMS changes in payer negotiation and pricing.
