HILVERSUM, NETHERLANDS, April 11, 2014 (Press-News.org) Ed Voss, Director of Supply Chain Management of Tata Steel has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in logistics.

Ed Voss is a very innovative, accomplished professional with over 30 years of professional experience. He is a senior executive with experience across multiple disciplines including supply chain logistics, purchasing, operations management and general management. He has also become extremely accomplished in developing strategy and management of complex world wide supply chains across different industries. On a daily basis, he is responsible for managing supply chain functions in Europe, as well as improving customer service. He regularly works to reduce inventory and optimize required cost levels, while also overseeing logistics and distribution and building relationships with suppliers.

Looking back, Mr. Voss attributes his success to his drive, ability to work as part of a team, and clear strategic vision combined with pragmatic implementation approach focused on deliverables. He became involved in his profession because he recognized that supply chain performance will be the competitive edge for many companies in the future. The highlight of his career was establishing a turnaround supply chain performance in China and India.

Mr. Voss received a master's degree in economics from UvA, where he graduated cum laude in 1983. In years to come, Mr. Voss aims to take on international opportunities.
