JPE Inc. Lands Multi-Million Dollar Construction Contract

Share of Contract for Work on Fort Bliss Army Base Could Reach $30 Million

2010-11-19
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO, November 19, 2010 (Press-News.org) JPE Inc., a national general contractor specializing in federal construction work, announced they have been awarded a contract to repair and replace roofing structures at the Fort Bliss Army Base in El Paso, Texas. The term of the contract is for five years on an Indefinite Delivery/ Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) basis. JPE's share of the contract value could reach $30 million.

JPE has assembled a construction team at Fort Bliss and work is currently underway. It includes roofing repairs on hundreds of buildings used for office administration purposes. According to Ron Holland, JPE's Chief Operating Officer, the contract is the largest awarded to the firm since its inception in 1998.

"The contract win represents the hard work of Roger Summers, our National Director of Marketing, and other members of the JPE team," Holland said. "Government work is our specialty, in fact, it's all we do. We were selected for this project based on our high grades and a reputation for excellent and reliable construction services."

"Our experience spans a variety of projects including VA Medical Centers to federal office buildings to national institutions," he added. "We are proud to have completed over 60 government projects since 2002."

Holland said despite the economy JPE has actually grown its revenue in 2010. He said the company is on target for $11 million, an increase of 68 per cent year to date over 2009.
He attributes the growth to a new business model where the firm pursues contracts on a national basis. JPE maintains field offices in five states and is not hesitant to pursue contract work no matter where the project is located.
