ATLANTA, GA, November 24, 2010 (Press-News.org) Atlanta shredding company Shred-Green held a free shredding event on Saturday, November 6 at the Brightwater subdivision in Snellville, GA, providing free shredding services to the residents of the subdivision. This is one of several shredding events sponsored by Shred-Green in recent months.
Representatives from Shred-Green were at the Brightwater subdivision for four hours, and over ten percent of the homeowners took advantage of the shredding service. The event was arranged by a resident who felt that the subdivision could benefit from this service. This turned out to be true.
As identity theft continues to be a threat nationwide, it is more important than ever for individuals to protect their private information by securely destroying sensitive documents by methods such as shredding. However, not everyone has access to a home or office shredder, and many people have more documents to shred than a small-scale shredder could process. For residents of the Brightwater subdivision in this situation, the Atlanta document shredding event was an opportunity to finally dispose of these personal documents in a secure manner.
Shred-Green owner Kathy Perkins was pleased that her Atlanta shredding company was able to provide this service to the Brightwater residents. "Many people commented that they were so thankful we were there as they had stuff for years they didn't know what to do with. It would have taken them days to shred it in their home shredders. We were so happy to be of service to our community."
In keeping with Shred-Green's commitment to environmental responsibility, the truck containing the Atlanta paper shredding equipment was parked in one location throughout the event, reducing fuel and energy use. All shreds from the event were recycled.
Shred-Green provides residential and commercial shredding services in the metro Atlanta area, including Duluth shredding, Lawrenceville shredding, and Lilburn shredding services. Community involvement has always been an important focus for Shred-Green, and the company hopes to provide similar shredding events for other homeowner associations in the future.
About Shred-Green:

At Shred-Green, community involvement is a priority; they regularly sponsor fundraising events to support charities and free shreds to help the community to protect their personal information. Shred-Green is also committed to environmental responsibility, recycling all shreds and using state-of-the art, energy-efficient shredding equipment.
