Cornish luxury accommodation specialists, Simply Time in Cornwall, launch in movie set port

Square rigged sailing ships, a ready-made movie set and rugged coastal views make the historic Cornish port of Charlestown the perfect starting place for new luxury accommodation specialists, Simply Time in Cornwall.

2010-08-29
LONDON, ENGLAND, August 29, 2010 (Press-News.org) Frequently used as the set for period dramas and home to a fleet of square rigged ships, the attraction of the Grade II listed port of Charlestown is instant.

Situated in St Austell Bay on the south coast of Cornwall, the sheltered port was built between 1790 and 1810 by local landowner, Charles Rashleigh, to serve the copper and china clay ships of the day. Over the last two centuries Charlestown has remained unspoilt and features regularly in movies and TV productions such as The Three Musketeers, Mansfield Park and Hornblower.

Traditional properties in magnificent coastal locations

The port was a natural choice for the launch of Simply Time in Cornwall, a new family run business specialising in luxury self catering holiday accommodation. The company's goal is to deliver traditional properties in magnificent coastal locations upgraded to exacting standards with stylish yet liveable interiors.

The first three Simply Time in Cornwall cottages are located on the quayside of Charlestown harbour and have recently started welcoming guests. Each cottage has been extensively renovated by local contractors and craftsmen to provide laid back coastal living with all the comforts you need to relax.

As Quay Cottage and Boat Watch Cottage are next door to each other and Harbourside Cottage just a couple of doors away, the cottages can be hired either individually or together for groups of friends or extended family.

All the luxuries of a home away from home

Simply Time in Cornwall is run by the Fowey-based Ogg family and the company's launch is a long held dream. "We learned from first hand experience what makes or breaks a self-catering holiday. We decided that you shouldn't have to comprise on quality, style or location and have strived to combine the best of everything in our properties. Our approach is based on the levels of service and hospitality we expect ourselves."

Comments in the guest book from the first visitors suggest that the approach is working. "Beautiful cottage with a fabulous view and in a great location. Cottage itself is just like being at home - very comfortable with lots of added extras. You have thought of everything."
