IT Manager Uses SleepTracks to Combat Insomnia and Anxiety

New research shows that software engineers are working too hard and suffer from insomnia and anxiety. A California-based technology manager shares his personal story and explains how he solved that problem.

2010-12-09
SAN FRANCISCO, CA December 09, 2010 (Press-News.org) As a new research indicates that software engineeers are working too hard and suffer from job-related stress, insomnia and anxiety, Karl Ramm says he found a viable solution. The California-based technology manager reports listening to specialized audio sessions to alleviate his work-induced stress and anxiety -- and get the sleep he desperately needs.

"I was having a lot of anxiety before sleeping and could not fall asleep", recalls Ramm. "That caused me to have way too many sleepless nights." Determined to avoid prescription sleep medications, he turned to the Internet in search of an alternative solution and stumbled on the "SleepTracks Sleep Optimization Program".

"Willing to try just about anything" but still skeptical, Karl Ramm started listening to the audio sessions provided with this online program. "I was just playing with it one afternoon and wanted to listen to the "Power Nap" track. Next thing I knew I was waking up! Fell right asleep without trying."

The other audio sessions, designed with a unique blend of brainwave entrainment technology, suggestions, and soothing background sounds, proved effective for Ramm as well: "After using the "Fall Asleep" track, I could fall asleep right away. But I didn't realize that I shouldn't be using that one all night. So I switched to the "Whole Night" track and have been using it ever since. I can go to sleep with ease now. If I don't feel sleepy, I just lay and listen to the sounds and next thing I know I am waking up from a nice sleep. I don't suffer from lack of sleep anymore. I keep an IPod with earbuds next to my bed and take it always with me when traveling. The earbuds help block out ambient noise and the tracks keep me sleeping sound."
