LateRooms.com - Semaphore Music Festival Flying the Flag in Adelaide

Venues across the Adelaide suburb of Semaphore will host a number of gigs at the start of October.

2010-08-31
ADELAIDE, AUSTRALIA, August 31, 2010 (Press-News.org) Adelaide's Semaphore Music Festival is a great chance to enjoy some of Australia's best emerging indie, rock and country acts in an idyllic seaside setting.

Taking place between October 1st and 4th 2010, the show aims to break down some of the barriers surrounding alt. country, folk, roots and blues music - a goal which it has been fulfilling since the inaugural event in 2005.

The dates of the festival coincide with the time that most states celebrate Labour Day and also overlap with the majority of October school holidays, so it is expected to get busy.

According to the organisers, music lovers from across the region - and even from other states - are likely to check out the packed bill and special atmosphere at Semaphore.

With large crowds set to descend on the city, those who are keen to attend the event should book some of the cheap accommodation Adelaide has available as soon as possible.

Over the four days of the festival, a large number of gigs will take place at various venues in Semaphore, some of which are free - such as a concert at the Foreshore Reserve on October 2nd that runs between 11:00 and 17:00 local time.

Entrance to all ticketed shows will cost cheap hotels Adelaide guests either A$5 or A$10.

For more information on this event, visit the Semaphore Music Festival website.

LateRooms.com recommends a variety of Adelaide accommodation, such as the Hotel Grand Chancellor Adelaide.
