LONDON, ENGLAND, December 22, 2010 (Press-News.org) The Harley Medical Group has revealed Botox and dermal fillers are high on Christmas wish lists this year, with the UK's leading cosmetic surgery group reporting a 200% rise year-on-year in sales of their gift vouchers, which can be spent on non-surgical treatments and products.
The Harley Medical Group has revealed hundreds of people are choosing to give the gift of injectable beauty this Christmas, a trend also popular amongst celebrities. Multi-millionaire Simon Cowell reportedly bought the X-Factor judges, Cheryl Cole, Danni Minogue and Louis Walsh, GBP3,000 worth of Botox vouchers each.
Liz Dale, Director at The Harley Medical Group, said: "Many patients are favouring the non-surgical gift vouchers over 'traditional' beauty gift vouchers as the effects are longer lasting so they feel they are getting more bang for their buck. A lot of people are also visiting us to enquire about treatments which help tackle the harsh effects of the cold weather, which can play havoc with the skin. Couple this with the busy build-up to Christmas, leaving people looking forward to relaxing and pampering themselves in the New Year."
The vouchers, which are valid for up to 24 months, can be redeemed against popular non-surgical procedures such as Botox, dermal fillers, laser hair removal or medical microdermabrasion. The Harley Medical Group also has a range of products such as the Agera skin-care range, a gentle non-chemical skin peel which will help brighten and rejuvenate your skin, and the Obagi skincare range, an intensive skin preparation treatment which will tighten, reduce lines and improve the appearance of skin.
Liz Dale continued: "Sales so far show the average voucher spend is GBP250, however we're expecting a rush in sales this week in next as men make their last-minute Christmas shopping dash for the ladies in their life."
The vouchers can be purchased in amounts of GBP25, GBP50 and GBP100, can be multiplied and/or spent in any quantity and are valid for up to 24 months. All patients will have an initial consultation with a nurse counsellor to assess their suitability and establish which treatment is right for their skin type and problem area.
