LateRooms.com - Madrid to Show All or Nothing

All or Nothing is available to view in Madrid this year, which sees Mario Testino's pictures of models in various states of undress.

2010-09-02
MADRID, SPAIN, September 02, 2010 (Press-News.org) Art enthusiasts heading to Madrid this year will have the opportunity to see a new exhibition of Mario Testino's work entitled All or Nothing.

Guests at Madrid hotels can see this stunning display from September 21st 2010 until January 9th 2011 at the Museo Thyssen.

Fashion enthusiasts may be aware of Testino's work, since he has taken pictures for such celebrated magazines as The Face, Vanity Fair and Vogue.

The exhibition contains a collection of 54 images captured by the photographer, some of which see models dressed up in haute couture garments, while others show the women naked.

"Combining analogue photography with the latest advances in digital technology, the artist shows the process and all the implications of the action of undress," explained the organisers.

They noted that Testino aims to portray his ideal of a strong and independent woman through his pictures, with the Peruvian offering an intriguing look at the fashion industry and the concept of beauty.

Visitors heading down to the museum after November 16th 2010 will also be able to check out a collection entitled Impressionist Gardens, which looks at how painters in the movement used wildlife as artistic inspiration.

The venue is closed on Mondays and open from Tuesday to Sunday between 10:00 and 19:00 local time. Entrance to the whole art space costs EUR12 (GBP9.90) online or EUR13 at the box office, but tickets are also available for only the temporary exhibition at EUR7 and EUR8 respectively.

For more information on this event visit the Museo Thyssen website or contact the venue on +34 902 76 05 11.
