Don't be a Cold Fish this Winter - Install Double Glazing

Fred the Fish unveiled as the new face of double glazing giant Safestyle UK's latest TV ad campaign.

LANCASHIRE, ENGLAND, January 07, 2011

Safestyle UK's latest advertising star is a real cold fish - literally!

"Fred" - as the new fishy presenter is being called - is the new face of Safestyle UK's TV ad campaigns, and his message is loud and clear: "Don't f-freeze your f-fins off, call Safestyle!"

Refusing to be numbed by the deep freeze that has gripped the nation, Safestyle's new computer-generated TV presenter is a very feisty little character with a very loud voice, as he bursts from his ice-covered bowl and Safestyle come to the rescue.

The new TV ad is an interesting first for double glazing giant Safestyle, using a combination of CGI imagery and live action to startling and entertaining effect.

A Safestyle spokesman said: "We wanted to retain the distinctive style of delivery synonymous with Safestyle, but introduce a new character which we hope people will adore and find intriguing.

"Creating a speaking fish character was quite a technical challenge, but technological innovation is Safestyle's forte.

"We've used the latest animation software and computer hardware to breathe life into Fred and the result certainly makes you smile and take notice."

The cute Nemo-esque goldfish is fun to watch and endearing, but he also carries a serious message about energy efficiency in our homes.

So much heat is lost through single-glazed, poorly fitted, or old draughty windows and this makes it difficult and expensive to heat homes, leaving occupants feeling chilly during the winter.

Safestyle's new A-rated Eco windows actually reduce the amount of heat lost through the window by 100%.

They are innovatively engineered to prevent heat loss by combining two different types of energy-saving glass, an argon gas filling, and an energy-saving spacer bar.

These clever windows are even designed to let in more of the sun's energy helping to warm your home for free. This will provide some extra help as energy prices look set to rise further.

Both the Energy Saving Trust and BFRC - the body responsible for Energy Ratings - say that families can save significantly on heating bills by installing energy-efficient double glazing throughout the property, as much as GBP461 per year.

With Safestyle's flexible payment options, free installation and Buy One Get One Free deals, these new energy-efficient windows will pay for themselves in no time and create a warm, cosy home as Britain's winters look set to become colder.
