CES 2011: ZOMM Announces New Car Kit and First Color Variant

The world's first Wireless Leash for mobile phones now offers a car kit for hands-free driving and introduces the new ZOMM "Pink"

2011-01-07
FISHERS, IN, January 07, 2011 (Press-News.org) ZOMM, LLC (www.zomm.com), a global technology company and developer of the world's first Wireless Leash for cell phones, announces an enhanced ZOMM experience at the Consumer Electronics Show 2011 in Las Vegas with the addition of a new car kit and upgraded features. Also debuting for the first time is ZOMM's first color variant - the new ZOMM "Pink." All new products and features will be on display at CES 2011 in the North Hall, Booth #1035C in the New Products Marketplace area.

With many states now banning in-vehicle mobile phone use, the new ZOMM car kit provides an easy solution for hands-free communication. With superior microphone sound quality and noise cancellation technology in the microphone, the ZOMM hands-free capabilities make it an ideal in-car solution. The new car kit accessory pack includes a custom ZOMM visor clip with sound channeling technology, an easily detachable keychain for transferring ZOMM from key ring to visor clip and a custom USB ZOMM car charger.

Also new at CES is the introduction of the first color option - ZOMM "Pink." Many ZOMM users are women and the color was created from consumer demand. Pink represents Breast Cancer Awareness, and ZOMM will donate a portion of each ZOMM "Pink" sale to Breast Cancer Research. In addition to being shown at CES, ZOMM Pink will be on display the week following at the Miss American Pageant preliminary event at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. Former Miss America 2006, Jennifer Barry, will be the face of ZOMM "Pink" and promoting the device throughout the event.

"Our customers are equally as passionate about ZOMM as we are, and we listened to what they wanted in terms of accessories and features," said Henry Penix, CEO of ZOMM, LLC. "Our new announcements, coupled with being selected as a finalist for the Bluetooth SIG Best of CES Award, will strengthen ZOMM's position as a global technology company."

Using Bluetooth technology, the keychain-sized ZOMM prevents users from losing or misplacing their mobile phone by vibrating, flashing lights and sounding an alarm when they separate from their phone. With added features of call notification, a fully functional speakerphone for hands-free communication and emergency-services calling capabilities, ZOMM is the ultimate multi-functional accessory for any Bluetooth-enabled phone. Recently upgraded firmware and activation software added new capabilities to ZOMM, including the ability to:
• choose distance at which alarm will sound when separated from phone (short or long)
• adjust the ZOMM volume from the user's phone
• personalize the Bluetooth name of the ZOMM
• mute the ZOMM ringer
• customize the emergency number that ZOMM dials
• improve volume and voice clarity of microphone and speakerphone by more than 30%
Future customization options will be announced at CES that include custom driving experience features, safety features and a total custom ZOMM experience.

The ZOMM Car Kit is available now at http://www.zomm.com for $39.99, and the ZOMM Wireless Leash in black, white and pink color options retail on the website for $99.99. For more information about ZOMM and its products, visit http://www.zomm.com.
