The program was developed by ProperSoft, a small but well-known software company based in Canada. Founded by Sergiy Tytarenko, all ProperSoft products are digitally signed by Tytarenko's digital certificate, so buyers know they're receiving a quality program.
Bank2QIF is small but powerful, and is able to convert a variety of bank, credit card and investment portfolio files into QIF format so they can be loaded into financial software. It works with a wide array of file formats, including OFX, QFX, OFC, QBO and QIF, and converts them into Quicken Interchange Format (QIF).
Transactions can be viewed before they're converted, and Bank2QIF allows users to convert all or only selected portions of their transactions. Existing QIF files can be modified to load into the user's current version of Quicken. Data can even be exported to the QIF format.
Users can also combine multiple file formats into a single QIF file that can be loaded into financial software. The program allows users to customize currency and dating formats, and provides a list separator that's recognized by the user's financial software.
Bank2QIF is available as a free download for those who would like to try the program before they purchase. All the features are fully functional, but the trial version is restricted to three exported transactions before registration. The full version is available at a modest cost of $19.95.
The program presents a cost effective solution for converting the wide variety of file formats available into one that can be loaded into Quicken or other financial software, saving hours of time and frustration.
