GAITHERSBURG, MD, January 08, 2011 (Press-News.org) National Office Systems (NOS), the nation's leading provider of storage and information management systems, expands its presence in the Northeast this week with the acquisition of East Coast Storage Solutions (ECSS) of Berlin, CT.
From its Montgomery County headquarters, NOS has helped companies, government agencies, professional practices and institutions improve productivity, reduce costs and save space for three decades.
The ECSS acquisition continues NOS' growth that included a recent strategic partnership between NOS and SYSTEMATICS of Westborough, MA. That 2010 move established NOS as the nation's largest provider of high density and mobile shelving, automated storage and retrieval systems, biometric asset protection, radio frequency identification applications, and file-tracking and records-management software.
"A total solutions provider, that's our objective, and East Coast Storage Solutions is a perfect match for the NOS family," says Joe Alvarez, NOS principal. "East Coast has been a major player and our competitor in Connecticut. Their arrival will expand our world-class products and services even farther into the Northeastern United States, especially the Connecticut and New York markets."
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Bradford Ostiguy, ECSS President, and staff will continue operations, sales and support for the firm's clients throughout New England as part of NOS.
"Being part of the NOS family greatly increases our ability to serve our current customers and expand our offerings with more diverse products, cutting-edge asset-management software and tremendous support," says Ostiguy. "This is a great thing for our customers and for us. We can create storage solutions uniquely suited to our clients without the limitations of any one brand."
Dan Harbison, NOS President, adds, "We welcome East Coast and its staff into our firm. Their dedication to their clients mirrors our company mission. Whether we're working with firearms, medical files or museum artifacts, the NOS family is all about commitments to our clients to ensure that their customized records-management strategies fit their needs.
For more information or to ask about a complimentary storage assessment, contact NOS at 301-840-6264 or info@nosinc.com.
