PARIS, FRANCE, January 15, 2011 (Press-News.org) The Comedy of Errors is being staged in Paris over the coming weeks and could provide travellers with the ideal night out after a busy day of shopping and sightseeing.
Many people will no doubt be familiar with the William Shakespeare tale, which is believed to be one of his earliest, but attending a French version of the story could be a quite different experience.
The play is due to be performed at the Theatre des Bouffes du Nord, with guests at Paris hotels able to catch the production between January 19th and February 12th 2011.
According to the organisers, the translation by Meriam Korichi and the performance conjured up by director Dan Jemmett and his cast creates a brand new experience from this cracking story, which is loaded with typically British humour.
While many of the funny moments in the plot relate to mistaken identities or slapstick, there is always plenty of depth to the Bard's work.
The production lasts about 110 minutes and costs between EUR18 (GBP15) and EUR28, depending on where people want to sit. Concessions are available for students and large groups.
If people want to travel by Metro to the venue, they should take Line Two to La Chapelle.
Most evening performances start at 21:00 local time, while matinee screenings begin at 15:30.
For more information on this event, visit the Theatre des Bouffes du Nord website or contact the venue on +33 01 46 07 34 50.
