OXON, ENGLAND, January 20, 2011 (Press-News.org) Comtrol Europe has now added to its RocketLinx range a new 28 port fully managed Industrial Ethernet switch (RocketLinx ES9528). This is a 28-port fully managed Ethernet switch featuring 24 10/100 Base-TX Ethernet ports and four Gigabit/SFP combo ports for high speed uplinks and/or fibre connectivity. This new product with its wide operating temperature (-25° to 70° C) and fanless design makes it ideal for industrial applications. The RocketLinx ES9528 has also been designed specifically for rackmount SCADA and control room applications to act as the centerpiece for a redundant network.

The RocketLinx ES9528 managed Ethernet switch offers a unique mix of value added features including:

12.8Gbps switch fabric, non-blocking switching performance, 8K MAC address table
RSTP and advanced ring technology
Supports jumbo frame up to 9,216bytes
VLAN, GVRP, QoS, IGMP snooping V1/V2/V3, rate control, port trunking, LACP and
online multi-port mirroring
Management is via console CLI , Web, SNMP V1/V2c/V3, RMON, HTTPS, SSH and NetVision network management software
Advanced security feature supports IP security, port security, DHCP server, IP and MAC binding, 802.1x network access control
Event notification by e-mail, SNMP trap, and syslog
