Gary Lang Auto Group Donates $1,600 to Operation Care Package

Operation Care Package received a donation of $1,600 from Gary Lang Auto Group. The money will be used to purchase items needed for the troops overseas.

MCHENRY, IL, January 22, 2011 (Press-News.org) Gary Lang Auto Group gave Operation Care Package $1,600 today to support their activities.

Operation Care Package is an Illinois organization that gathers supplies and letters to send to our troops overseas. This Christmas (December, 2010), they sent out over 11,000 care packages to the troops. Now through October, they will send out approximately 150 packages per week.

"Gary Lang Auto Group wanted to help support our trips by donating funds to this worthwhile organization," stated Dixie Gilmore, Vice President/General Manager, "Our donation amount was based on every new General Motors vehicle sold the week before Christmas."

Operation Care Package is still in need of items for the troops, such as:
Food
Everyday toiletries
Music & Game
Clothing
Candy
Cards/Letters of Support
