SAN DIEGO, CA, January 26, 2011 (Press-News.org) In a report in Food and Drink Digital Magazine, Burke Morrison, General Manager of the Caesar Rodney Sales Division at Standard Distributing Company, speaks on the family owned and operated business that is also the largest and oldest beer distributor in Delaware.
Standard Distributing Co. prides itself on being the largest and oldest beer distributor in the state of Delaware. Established in 1933, the family owned and operated company is a full-service wholesale beer distributor based in New Castle, which couldn't be more of a coincidence. With clients like MillerCoors, Heineken USA, Diageo Guinness USA, Sapporo, Asahi, Matt Brewing Company and Lion Brewery, the company focuses on serving the community with beer and other non-alcoholic beverages. Standard Distributing Co. was founded by James Tigani and today, the third and fourth generations of the Tigani family operates the booming business.
"We're working on implementing a solar energy system and solar roof for our New Castle facility to increase energy efficiency," Morrison says. "We're waiting until the new year to see what the government comes up with in regards to available tax credits for the business. We're hoping to have the new solar system by the first or second quarter of 2011."
