Synygy Caps 20th Year with Two FORTUNE 500 Company Wins

Synygy celebrated its 20th anniversary and announced that it had signed two FORTUNE 500 companies to multiyear software and service engagements in the fourth quarter of 2010.

2011-01-26
CHESTER, PA, January 26, 2011 (Press-News.org) Synygy Inc., the largest and most experienced provider of sales performance management (SPM) solutions, today announced contracts with two more FORTUNE 500 companies for its SPM software, one with a specialty retailer and the other with a technology manufacturer. Both deals closed in December and involve multi-year subscriptions that will result in the management of sales compensation and other sales performance processes for 15,000 salespeople.

"The last decade for Synygy started and ended with economic turbulence," said Mark A. Stiffler, Synygy's president and CEO, "but during that time, Synygy grew from 165 employees in the U.S. to a global workforce of 435, and achieved this milestone without using outside equity capital and while continuously remaining profitable."

Synygy's announcement caps a second decade of client and product growth and diversification for the twenty year-old company.

With its roots in the pharmaceutical industry, ten years ago the company serviced mainly life sciences companies. Since then, Synygy's roster of clients has expanded to include a broad range of industries, including telecom, insurance, manufacturing, business services, banking, and retail. Today, 85% of Synygy's clients are outside the life sciences.

The company had a client base one decade ago that mainly utilized Synygy's sales compensation management services, whereby companies outsourced this business operation to Synygy. Since then, Synygy developed a broad array of SPM software applications that include sales compensation management, sales goal management, sales process management, and sales communications management. Today, 70% of Synygy's clients use Synygy's software to manage their own business processes.

Ten years ago, Synygy was operating a small data center to service its clients and to provide the salespeople and managers in those accounts with access to their sales compensation and sales performance data, reports, and analyses. Since then, software-as-a-service and cloud computing have become the norm and Synygy has led its industry by owning and operating a state-of-the art Tier 3 data center for six years. Today, 80% of Synygy's clients use Synygy's software hosting services.
"To all of Synygy's clients, partners, and employees, prior and current," Stiffler continued, "you have my sincerest gratitude for contributing to a very exciting and successful twenty years."
