MADISON, WI, January 31, 2011 (Press-News.org) American Family Insurance announced the grand prizewinner of its Jingle Dreams contest. With over 250 submissions, and consumers voting for their top video choices, a panel of celebrity judges made a dream come true for Mark Patterson of Atlanta. Patterson won a dream experience: an all-expense-paid trip for four to Dallas to sing in the Super Bowl Gospel Celebration on Feb. 4.
Patterson will share the stage with some of the biggest names in the Gospel community, such as Israel Houghton, Mary Mary, Donnie McClurkin, Marvin Sapp and CeCe Winans, and the NFL Players Choir. The NFL Players Choir is a group of 30 multi-talented, active and former NFL players. As part of the prize package, Patterson will also attend Super Bowl XLV on Feb. 6.
American Family Insurance's priority is keeping families and individuals first. The company launched the Jingle Dreams contest as a celebration of families and individuals achieving their goals and dreams. Patterson's dream is to "travel the world and inspire others to live their dreams, be it through my music or any other avenue I can do it," he stated in his submission video. The judges felt his passion and ability to realize his dreams.
Upon being notified of his win, Patterson, a 21-year-old college student majoring in entertainment business, says, "I'm so grateful for this amazing opportunity." He will take his parents and sister to Dallas with him.
Patterson also has a passion for music, as he leads worship at his church in Atlanta, GA, and sings background for various musical artists.
American Family Insurance enlisted all-star judges comprised of both music artists and former NFL players to select the grand prizewinner. The panel included Tim Brown (former Oakland Raider) Brian Finneran (Atlanta Falcons) and Houghton (Gospel singer). The judges based their vote on criteria that included presentation, originality, melody and vocal ability, as well as entertainment value.
Patterson was among the top ten viewer's choices finalists. The judges did not have an easy task selecting the winner. Patterson stood out among very talented individuals across the country. Videos from all finalists are available at www.jingledreams.com.
The Jingle Dreams contest was hosted on the newly launched talent discovery website, AuditionBooth.com. Through AuditionBooth's cutting-edge video tools, brands can collaborate with talent to create unique, user-driven campaigns. AuditionBooth's proprietary technology allows members to easily record videos with their computer's webcam in direct response to questions posed by the audition host. The platform then enables marketing and casting professionals to access submissions with the goal of discovering individual brand ambassadors from their target demographic.
The contest also traveled to shopping malls in Atlanta, Chicago, Indianapolis, Minneapolis and Seattle. Former and current NFL players Jerry Azumah (Chicago Bears), Shaun King (Tampa Bay Buccaneers), Luke Petitgout (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) and Curt Warner (Seattle Seahawks) made appearances at the tour stops. Entrants sang a song relevant to them while incorporating the American Family Insurance jingle onsite.
