Vision Media Produces Bilingual Recycling PSA

Vision Media Marketing Inc., a full-service public relations and media consulting firm based in North Jersey, recently wrapped production on a new Bilingual Public Service Announcement promoting recycling in North Bergen, NJ.

2011-02-06
SECAUCUS, NJ, February 06, 2011 (Press-News.org) Vision Media Marketing Inc., a full-service public relations and media consulting firm based in North Jersey, recently wrapped production on a new Bilingual Public Service Announcement promoting recycling in North Bergen, NJ. The commercial, produced in both English and Spanish versions for the North Bergen Municipal Utilities Authority, begin airing in early January on cable television in northern Hudson County.

Using an omnipresent narrator, the PSA speaks directly to viewers and urges them to recycle their cans, bottles, paper, plastic and electronics. After making an appeal based on environmental concerns and protecting the planet for future generations, the commercial turns to one of the most basic kitchen-table issues - property-tax bills. According to the PSA, because the North Bergen Municipal Utilities Authority pays for solid waste removal and receives payment when residents recycle, the more North Bergen residents recycle, the lower their taxes.

Paul Swibinski, President of Vision Media Marketing, said, "This financial appeal differentiates the PSA from most other governmental recycling communication by persuading the audience with more than the typical environmental pitch. In doing so, it provides an effective and persuasive argument for a wide segment of the viewing public."

The ad ends with the narrator meeting North Bergen Mayor, Nicholas J. Sacco, who again impresses on the viewing audience the importance of recycling to help both the environment and North Bergen taxpayers. Featuring several different locations in the township, the ad showcases North Bergen with an extremely positive and beneficial message.
