Cary Magazine has joined forces with top local wedding professionals to give one lucky couple the wedding of their dreams, valued at over $20,000, in the first-ever Dream Wedding Contest.
The winning couple will enjoy an all-expenses-paid wedding at The Matthews House in Cary on Nov. 6, 2011, and will have the opportunity to work with local wedding experts to plan every important detail, including catering from Matthews House Catering, bridal couture, tuxedos, invitations, photography, transportation, florals, cake and even a honeymoon trip.
To enter, couples must register at http://www.carymagazinedreamwedding.com by midnight on March 4 and submit a written essay (500 words maximum) describing why they deserve to win a dream wedding. Submissions can also include optional photos and a short video. Submissions will be judged on the couples' circumstances, creativity, originality and consent to the terms and conditions of the contest.
The winning couple will be announced at the fifth annual Cary Magazine Elegant Weddings Gala, to be held from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on March 10 at The Matthews House. The couple must be present to win.
"Once our winning couple is selected, they'll document their wedding-planning journey through regular posts to the Cary Magazine Dream Weddings website for our readers to follow," said Editor Danielle Stanfield. "They can relay their experiences such as planning milestones and appointments with vendors. They will also be featured in the January/February 2012 issue of Cary Magazine."
