2011-02-21
LONG BEACH, CA, February 21, 2011 (Press-News.org) Apantac LLC will demonstrate its new Multi-Port VGA Extenders with Audio and RS232 support at Digital Signage Expo 2011, booth number 943. The three new devices are part of Apantac's MT HOOD series of signal processing solutions.

The multi-port VGA Extenders are used to transmit high resolution VGA video, audio and RS232 signals up to 1,000 feet away from a computer over CATx cable. Each multi-port VGA extender has a VGA, an audio, and two RS232 inputs. Each unit has a VGA, an audio, and 4, 8, or 16 RJ45 outputs. Up to four units can be cascaded together to provide 64 simultaneous outputs.

They are economical VGA devices that are suited for digital signage applications as they allow a single VGA source to be broadcast to multiple displays up to 1,000 feet / 300 meters away.

Comprised of a 4-port VGA extender, an 8-port VGA extender, or a 16-port VGA extender and one Touch-Screen Receiver per display, the VGA + Audio + RS232 extension solutions transmits a single VGA output and corresponding audio and RS232 to four, eight, or sixteen displays/receivers over standard CatX cable.

They are plug-and-play units that are easy to install and do not require software to operate.

The new models include:
- VGA-4-SE-RS232 - 4-port VGA Extender + Audio + RS232
- VGA-8-SE-RS232 - 8-port VGA Extender + Audio + RS232
- VGA-16-SE-RS232 - 16-port VGA Extender + Audio + RS232

Each extender / transmitter model works with the TSE-1-R single-port touch-screen VGA receiver with audio and RS232.

For more information, visit Apantac at Digital Signage Expo 2011 booth number 943.

2011-02-21
The business call lasted over half an hour. Had it taken place in a cubicle or behind closed doors, it would have been decidedly unremarkable. As it was, in a crowded restaurant, in front of a lovely date, the conversation illicited many an annoyed glance as a fairly obvious (to everyone but the man in the dark blue suit) social blunder was committed. Most of us have no problems identifying the major triggers of social animosity, but the slightly-more-subtle cues are, well, subtler. But don't be fooled: They can be just as damaging to our reputations as a thirty-minute ...
