South Shore Skin Center and Spa Appoints Amy LaFavre to the Support Staff

South Shore Skin Center and Spa, one of the most progressive practices for medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology in Massachusetts, has recently appointed Amy LaFavre to the Support Staff.

PLYMOUTH, MA, March 03, 2011 (Press-News.org) She will divide her time between both of South Shore Skin Center's offices in Plymouth and Cohasset.

Ms. LaFavre's primary role at South Shore Skin Center and Spa is to care for patients before, during and after surgery. Along with assisting the physicians during surgery, Ms. LaFavre's duties include patient education and pre- and post operative care, including wound care.

Previously, Ms. LaFavre was a Registered Nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, providing bedside patient care for the medical, surgical, psychological and research departments. She was responsible for administering medication as well as assessing and monitoring patient health condition.

Ms. LaFavre holds a BA in Psychology, Communications/PR and Business Management from Roger Williams University in Rhode Island and an MA in Communications, PR and Marketing from Suffolk University in Boston. Ms. LaFavre also holds a BSN and MSN from Massachusetts General Hospital: Institute of Health Professions School of Nursing (Harvard).

Ms. LaFavre is a member of the Dermatology Nurses' Association (DNA); Psi Chi National Honors Society in Psychology and the Institute of Healthcare Improvement (IHI).

She resides in Plymouth.
