LateRooms.com - Prague Set to Host Four Plus Four Days in Motion

Theatre groups from around the world will head to Prague for next month's Four + Four Days in Motion.

2010-09-08
PRAGUE, September 08, 2010 (Press-News.org) Four + Four Days in Motion, Prague's annual performing arts festival, will take place between October 15th and 24th this year.

The international event features theatre performances, drama workshops, film screenings and other special events taking place at venues spread across the Czech capital.

Although the programme has not yet been finalised, people using Prague hotels can expect this year's festival to be just as diverse and thought-provoking as previous editions.

Belgium's Kris Defoort and Dirk Roofthooft are due to present a two-man show inspired by the work of Russian Nobel laureate Joseph Brodsky, while the Norwegian theatre company De Utvalgte will perform Skuggar (Shadows), a play by contemporary dramatist Jon Fosse.

Elsewhere, the Experiences with a Stranger Show will see Catalan dancer and performer Sonia Gomez lead an innovative project based on improvisation and social experiments.

People in the mood for more light-hearted fare may be interested in Wariot Ideal, a Czech musical comedy that follows the fortunes of a hapless heavy metal band.

The four main venues for the 2010 Four + Four Days in Motion are the Archa Theatre, La Fabrika, Studio Alt and The Building of the Former ULUV.

Prices for individual show tickets and festival passes will be confirmed over the next few weeks.

For more information on this event, visit the 2010 Four + Four Days in Motion website or contact the organisers on +420 224 809 116.
