PEMBROKESHIRE, ENGLAND, March 09, 2011 (Press-News.org) A classic play by Henrik Ibsen can be seen at the Torch Theatre in south Wales next month.
Ghosts, the Norwegian dramatist's masterpiece from 1881, will be performed on Wednesday April 6th by the London Classic Theatre.
Visitors to the Pembrokeshire venue can expect to see Ibsen's scathing commentary on 19th century morals brought to life in a new version of the play by Frank McGuinness.
Exploring the impact of hidden passions, sudden revelations and family secrets, Ghosts was highly controversial when first performed and has become one of the writer's most celebrated works.
It tells the story of widow Helene Alving and her son Oswald, an artist whose long-awaited homecoming triggers a series of events that look certain to end in tragedy.
The performance will begin at 19:00 BST in the theatre's Main House and tickets are available online, priced at GBP15.
Milford Haven, where the theatre is located, is situated about 17 miles away from Tenby.
People heading to the theatre will find a selection of hotels in Tenby at LateRooms.com, which features accommodation such as the Fourcroft Hotel Tenby.
Visit http://www.torchtheatre.co.uk/ or contact the venue on 01646 695 267 for more information about this event.
