WINNIPEG, MB, March 09, 2011 (Press-News.org) March marks the second anniversary of Prognition Corp.'s introduction of Mavenlive physical therapy exercise software to clinics around the world.
Mavenlive was designed to be a complete clinical solution that presents "best practice" patient assessments and exercise prescription to ensure consistency within physical therapy offices, says Dr. Jay Winburn, president of Prognition Corp.
This exercise software automatically generates customizable documentation, reports, letters to referring doctors, improves patient outcomes, automates processes and documentation, and saves time. Because it is Web-based, users can access the software anywhere they have an Internet connection.
In the two years since the rehab software product was released, Mavenlive has undergone two software upgrades. In January, its makers initiated server and infrastructure upgrades to better accommodate increased usage from a fast-growing client base.
There are now users of the physical therapy assessment software on four different continents.
"We have noticed that as people gain experience with the rehabilitation exercise software, they begin to take advantage of the ability to customize it to fit their exact philosophy," Winburn says. "People add physiotherapy exercises that aren't in the original knowledge base, and they modify the diagnostic tree to their thinking."
This is great to see because the more customizations that someone makes in Mavenlive, the more useful it becomes for them, he adds. Another notable fact about Mavenlive is that any customizations made by one therapist can be shared with colleagues, which promotes learning and improved patient care.
Mavenlive was created in March 2009 by Prognition Corp., a software company headquartered in Canada's National Research Council's Biomedical Commercialization Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
