LateRooms.com - Seville Arts Venue Hosts Marx Lounge

Discover the theories of Karl Marx at a new installation in Seville.

2011-03-10
SEVILLE, SPAIN, March 10, 2011 (Press-News.org) Marx Lounge offers visitors a chance to learn about the principles of the Marxism during a trip to Seville.

A reading area has been set up at the Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporaneo (CAAC) and will be available to enjoy until May 15th 2011.

As well as a comprehensive collection of literature by Karl Marx, there will be an exhaustive library of critical works on his theories.

The installation has been put together by Alfredo Jaar, who believes an understanding of Marxism will help people evaluate and comprehend the current economic situation.

"Jaar offers a reading lounge in which to sit back and think about the importance and viability of Marxism in the current state of affairs, as well as about the latest political and philosophical views," explained the organisers.

Marx penned the infamous Communist Manifesto and is widely regarded to be one of the founding fathers of modern views on social science.

Admission costs EUR1.80 (GBP1.55) for Marx Lounge and other temporary exhibitions, or EUR3.01 to explore the whole of the CAAC.

If visitors require accommodation in Seville for their trip, they can find a huge variety of options at LateRooms.com, which recommends the Hotel Don Paco Seville.

More information is available at http://www.juntadeandalucia.es/cultura/caac/english/exh.htm or by calling the venue on +34 95503 7070.
