CARLSBAD, CA, March 10, 2011 (Press-News.org) Founded by world-class athlete, three-time Olympian and licensed chiropractor Dr. Flora Hyacinth, Flo Fusion Fitness is a new exercise program offering a refreshing, powerful and energizing core body workout. The unique method, led by a certified personal trainer, works the body from the inside out by fusing yoga, Pilates and resistance training to deliver results in weight loss, strength and conditioning, rehabilitation, and improved flexibility, balance and endurance.
Following years of research and a hugely successful three-month pilot program comprised of 50-minute sessions three times a week, Dr. Hyacinth led participants to experience results ranging from significant weight loss to the elimination of chronic lower back pain to an increase in tone and strength, as well as improved overall flexibility, balance and endurance.
Melissa Robinson, founder of DIY Spa, experienced the Flo Fusion Fitness program: "Flo Fusion Fitness presents the opportunity of a lifetime to train like an Olympian. I watched as my body changed over the course of three months, transitioning from a size seven to a size three, while toning and strengthening my muscles. From professional athletes to working moms to mature adults, this workout is great for everyone. You are challenged at every level and work your whole body using your own body mass to become leaner and stronger."
Dr. Steven Mills, licensed chiropractor and certified personal trainer, added, "Flo Fusion Fitness is a truly revolutionary exercise system. It's a non-impact program which allows for people from a wide range of age, ability and disability levels. Because of the rich variety of postures implemented in the Flo Fusion Fitness system, dozens of muscle and ligament groups and angles are exercised that are commonly neglected in other fitness programs."
Prior to the first workout, Dr. Hyacinth discusses fitness goals with participants, then takes them through a full examination, including a medical questionnaire, weigh-in and body mass index measurement, "before" photos, and a 20-minute routine with and without resistance cables to determine the appropriate starting level.
Founder Dr. Hyacinth explained, "During my Olympic training, I had access to the best resources in fitness and nutrition and I've developed a specific program combining key methodologies to create a dynamic core body workout proven to deliver results for anyone. Flo Fusion Fitness is the first exercise concept of its kind, as it fuses yoga, Pilates and resistance training to develop the body from the inside out. The movements are consistent for every individual, but we customize the Flo Fusion Fitness level according to each person's fitness abilities and goals."
Slated to open in San Diego in April 2011, the first Flo Fusion Fitness center will offer personal Flo Fusion training sessions, massage therapy, nutrition counseling and chiropractic care for comprehensive wellness of the body from the inside out. Packages and training sessions are available for immediate booking. To start the path to Train Like an Olympian, call (619) 955-5442 or email flofusionfitness@yahoo.com.
