MESA, AZ, March 15, 2011 (Press-News.org) Cosmetology students at International Academy of Hair Design, 4812 S. Mill Ave. in Tempe may feel more like Fairy Godmothers than future stylists while providing services for young girls going to the prom this spring.
The cosmetology school is offering a special Prom Pamper Package for only $35 through May 15. The package includes haircut, shampoo, deep conditioning, blow dry, style with up-do, basic manicure and pedicure, as well as facial make-up. Tip Overlay Nail Service is available for an additional $10.
"Going to the prom is a memorable event but the cost of hair, makeup and nails is out of reach of many young women in the Valley," said Jessica Wolman, one of the owners of the cosmetology school. "This special not only makes going to the prom more affordable for many young ladies, it gives our cosmetology students the opportunity to work with clients and help them to look and feel great on their prom night."
The cosmetology students perform the services under the supervision of a licensed instructor. No appointment is necessary, however customers should call to allow enough time for all services to be performed.
In addition to International Academy of Hair Design in Chandler, one at Desert Sky Mall in Phoenix and the International Academy of Hair Design and Aesthetics in Tempe, the company owns cosmetology schools throughout the U.S. They include: nine schools in Texas under the names ITS Academy of Beauty College and Aladdin Beauty College; one school in Oklahoma under the Aladdin Beauty College moniker; four locations in New Mexico under the Olympian University and Aladdin Beauty College name, as well as Hair Benders Academy in Florida.
