SAN DIEGO, CA, March 18, 2011 (Press-News.org) Marking 30 years of business, 2011 is a milestone year for Remkor Technologies, a family-run business established in Johannesburg in 1981. Over the years the company has diversified its broad product range, to include component production, telecommunication manufacturing, appliance development and sheet metal production. In 2011, the telecommunication and sheet metal sectors are driving the company forward and have become its core focus.
The company operates from three different plants across South Africa. The first plant deals with the manufacturing side of the business; the second plant deals with painting and coating and the third plant deals with product assembly and distribution. The company operates a lean management structure and at each plant all the employees report to one person, who in turn, reports directly to senior management. This has enabled the company to develop quickly and from the grass roots up.
Remkor has a diverse infrastructure which ultimately means it can offer its customers all the services they need under one roof. As Rafaela La Monica, Managing Director at Remkor explains, "We have a diverse infrastructure, so we can offer turnkey solutions to a lot of our customers. We can take our clients from consultancy right through to delivering the finished product without having to outsource any stage of the process."
Remkor can even distribute the goods for its clients, and this is true of both low and high volume orders. "By providing a complete service we have a unique position in the market sector.
