Managing Director Marcel Lamprecht tells African Business Review that he believes CIC Holdings manages risk so the customer does not have to Managing Director Marcel Lamprecht believes that CIC are able to provide a complete logistics service to its clients."Our unique selling point is we give our customers the full spectrum of service here," says Lamprecht. "We take the risk of purchasing a product and selling it on. The 36 principals we handle only have one debtor in Namibia which is CIC; this makes it easier for them to manage their risk."
CIC has been able to effectively manage risk by being listed on Johannesburg Stock Exchange's alternative market AltX, which is focused on small and medium sized high growth companies.
"The fact we are now a listed entity makes it easier to manage risk, especially for principals who are expanding into Africa," says Lamprecht.
Recently, CIC was bought by Imperial Logistics, who made a 100 percent shareholding offer in the business. Imperial is a global logistics and supply chain company specialising in transport and warehousing, consumer products, specialised freight, and integration services.
