SGS First to Offer Brazil Companies Accredited Certification for RoHS and REACH

RoHS and REACH legislation covers products that are brought into the European market and the purpose of both directives is to limit the contamination of products by hazardous substances. RoHS and REACH do not only apply to electrical and electronic products. The scope of the directives (http://www.ee.sgs.com/regulatory-requirements.htm ) applies to raw materials which are used in the manufacture of electrical and electronic products and the contamination of natural resources through the manufacturing process is also designed to be limited and mitigated through the application of the directives.
