Izzycue's new division of frozen shrimp, Forrest Gump Shrimp & Co., today kicks off sales and distribution of a brand new proprietary line of Chem-free wild-caught Gulf production white shrimp in over thirty-eight (38) locations of Whole Foods Market

Izzycue has launched a new proprietary line of frozen and IQF (individually quick frozen) shrimp wild-caught in waters off Louisiana, Texas, Alabama and Florida. This new line is named Forrest Gump Shrimp & Co., and will be co-packed by a well-respected Fourth (4th) Generation Shrimp company out of Alabama, which owns six (6) freezer boats and is 100% vertically-integrated in its production."Shrimp is an exceptionally nutritious, tasty and versatile protein, more so when it is sustainably-caught and chemical-free", says Kenneth H. Tan, the company's Founder and CEO.
Gulf production shrimp work the waters in the Alabama, Louisiana, Texas and Florida region.
"We picked the name Forrest Gump Shrimp & Co., simply because our 4th Generation Shrimper Co-packer is based out of the Bayou La Batre area, the same area that the movie is based on", continues Kenneth, the shrimp lover.
The company's near-term plans are to supply IQF, chemical-free and sustainably-caught shrimp products to other East Coast and Central regions of Whole Foods Market, Costco Wholesale, Sysco, Trader Joe's and several other market-leading venues for fresh seafood.
